Special needles for ear acupuncture, continuous stimulation, and precise fixation

Permanent needles are frequently used in ear acupuncture when specific points need to be stimulated over a longer period. They differ significantly from classic body acupuncture needles: the diameter is usually thicker, often in the range of 0.3 to 0.7 mm, while the needle body length is significantly shorter at approximately 5 to 15 mm .

The handle area is also kept compact so that the needle can be easily secured to the ear and does not fall out easily. Various types are available in this category: Apex and Apex Gold, press tack needles, and TeWa ID-type intradermal needles.

Apex and Apex Gold
Apex permanent needles are placed using an applicator tube and are designed for pinpoint application. The magnetic pellet allows for additional stimulation while being worn.

Press tack needle
This ring-shaped permanent needle is embedded in a plaster and is secured to the acupuncture point by applying light pressure. Its flat design facilitates easy fixation and discreet use.

TeWa ID-type intradermal
Intradermal needles are applied flat and secured with a plaster. They are suitable for applications where discreet placement, a secure hold, and long-lasting point stimulation are important.
